ABOUT OHS GEAR
Hats
off to Tom Ziemba for sparking a lot of interest in OHS memorabilia. He
ordered a T-Shirt, showed it on Facebook, and started taking orders from his
fellow OHS alumni. It turned in to a much bigger project than he anticipated,
because everyone had ideas for different shirts, and everyone wanted something
a little different on their shirt.
OHS
Gear: I chatted with Tom about this and did a little research on a more
efficient way to offer OHS products, and came up with OHS Gear, an online
store I created on Zazzle. OHS Gear has several designs for mugs, mouse pads,
key chains and other items you may be interested in. Zazzle takes the order,
processes the payment, and ships directly to you. They even handle returns
(but hopefully there won't be any).
Another
good feature is customization. You can add you own text to some of the
existing designs.
And
if you have an idea for a design, let me know and I'll try to create it. For
example, OHS Gear has a mug for Class of 1962. If you want one for your class,
let me know and I'll create one. Also, you'll find mugs for OHS Trojans
Wrestling, Band, etc. but if you want one for Franco-American Club, Chess Club
or other OHS organization, let me know and I'll try to get something online
for you.
I
didn't start OHS Gear to make money, but Zazzle is quite insistent. Their
business model is set up to pay "store owners/creators of content" a
royalty fee, which I determine. I have set it at 10%, the minimum, so Zazzle
gets 90% of any product you buy. I'm sure I'll never even break even on this
venture, but if someone wants to order a million mugs ... go for it.
Check
out OHS Gear. I hope you find something you like.
